Small Group Ministry
Are you in a small group? If not, you're missing out on a significant part of life here at Hope. A Small Group consists of 6-12 people who meet regularly for fellowship, community, study, ministry and care. Note your interest on your yellow Welcome Card, stop by the Small Group Ministry board in the Great Hall to fill out a card, call the office and ask for Pastor Tim, or email hope@hopecovenantchurch.org.
A great way to meet and fellowship with others is to join a small group. It can be an excellent opportunity to discuss Sunday's sermon or explore a chapter of the Bible in detail.
Hope's Small Group Ministry groups consist of people who meet weekly -- some in homes while others meet at church. Groups are sometimes organized around specific needs or desires, such as women's groups, men's groups, college age groups, teen groups, or families with kids. Groups meet for a variety of purposes, and some groups will vary their activity over the year.

Why Join a Small Group?
1. Community -- We were designed by God for relationship--with God himself and withother people. As our congregation grows, it becomes easier and easier to remain as strangers to one another. A Small Group os a place where you can build meaningful friendships and experience your place in the Body of Christ.
2. Discipleship -- We are called to become "followers of Jesus," not just believers. A disciple is a student, a follower, one who becomes more and more like his master. In the Small Group, we edify, challenge, encourage, support, and correct one another...we shape each other more and more into the likeness of Christ.
3. Care -- In the Small Group, we have practical opportunity to bear one another's burdens and share in each other's joys. The Group is a safe, trusting environment where we can "know and be known."
4. Communication -- In the corporate worship setting, we hear the Word of God as presented in sermon, scripture and song. Through Group Leaders, our pastors can convey specific information regarding the direction of Hope Covenant. In Group, that message can be clarified, discerned and activated in your life. In Groups, communication is two-way. It's through the Group Leader network that the pastors come to know what's happening in the lives of people of Hope.Contact Pastor Tim at 772-1884 if you are interested in joining a small group or if you are interested in hosting a small group, or email hope@hopecovenantchurch.org .
