Skip Toops, Youth Pastor
Skip is Hope's Youth Pastor which included the responsibilities of coordinating all 7-12th grade ministries. These ministries cover everything from weekly programming (Sunday School, Youth Group, Wallyball), Special Events (Concerts, Movie Nights, All-Nighters), Trips (Camping, Tubing), Conferences (MUUUCE, CHIC), to Mission Trips (Stateside/Abroad).
Skip accepted the call to Hope in June of 2008 after serving as a
stateside missionary for one year with Youth for Christ (YFC) in the
greater Cleveland area. Skip completed a double major in education at
Minnesota State University-Moorhead (MSUM) in May of 2007. While at
MSUM, along with many other things, Skip was a four year letter winner
on the varsity wrestling team and served for two years as president of
Moorhead's chapter of Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC). Shortly after
graduating Skip married the love of his life Ashley in September 2007.
Ashley is a UND grad and attended Hope in her college days. Skip and
Ashley are expecting their first child in December of 2008.
