Pastor Paul F. Knight, Lead Pastor
Paul grew up in Duluth, Minn. He and his wife, Bonnie, have three children: Tim, Daniel and Kristen. Paul graduated from Proctor (Minn.) High School 1977, and earned a BAS in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, received a Certificate in Bible from Northwestern College, received a MDiv from Bethel Seminary, (which included one year of Covenant orientation studies at North Park Seminary in Chicago). Paul enjoys watching his kid's sports and music activities. He is the "voice of the Castle Yard" for the Central Knight's soccer team and enjoys bicycling with the "Forks Skeeters" bike group from church, playing paintball, and even does a bit of gardening with Bonnie, his wife. "Currently I am living a dream -- being a part of HOPE. A place where those who don't know Jesus yet matter."
Pastor Paul's Favorites
Music: Most any contemporary worship and praise music, the new Lincoln Brewster stuff
Sports: Years ago I ran cross country and track. swimming, and skiing. Now mostly bicycle riding or touring.
Favorite TV Shows- Survivor (I love the social dynamics)
Favorite Movies- I love a lot of movies: Dead Poets Society "carpe diem", To End All Wars (http://www.toendallwarsmovie.com) "at what price mercy", Brave Heart (all men die, but not all men live", Field of Dreams -- "build it and they will come."
Favorite Songs - Be Thou My Vision, And Can It Be, or My Jesus I Love Thee (old ones but good ones -- these should be done at my funeral)
Favorite Books - The Barbarian Way by Erwin McMannus, Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning, Soul Survivor by Philip Yancey, Mere Christianity by CS Lewis, Good to Great by Jim Collins
Favorite Restaurant/Food -- a little place in Connecticut called The Parson's Daughter along the Connecticut River with my wife Bonnie my favorite food would be fresh lobster served on paper plates with a baked potato and a side of coleslaw
Favorite Sports Team -- The Central Knight's Soccer Team -- or any team my kids play on. I am a Minnesotan at heart so I am a Vikings fan although there is a bit of humility that comes with that -- even more than being a Packers fan.
