Jim oversees the ministries that engage our congregation in worship of God, as well as celebrate our lives in Jesus Christ. These ministries include worship teams, sound, multimedia, drama, and other elements involved in worship services at Hope. He facilitates the planning, coordination, and production of all Sunday morning worship services as well as other special services and worship events.

Jim became part of the Hope team in September of 2005 after moving from the Minneapolis area and serving churches in Andover and Anoka. With a background and degree in Human Service, God called Jim in 2002 to use his gifts in music and leading others in worship.

Jim has been married to Julie for 12 years and has two beautiful daughters, Taylor and Ella.

Jim is originally from the Grand Forks area and enjoys connecting with people he hasn’t seen in several years. His family likes the laid back lifestyle of the area and spending time with his extended family. A "Gopher" fan, he struggles with the allegiances and peer pressure associated with the local sports team, but may find time to cheer both teams on.
